Um novo Centro de Prática Melhor de Construção (CCBP) foi lançado oficialmente com uma missão para preencher a lacuna de longa data entre academia e indústria no setor ambiental construído no Reino Unido. Após quase dois anos de planejamento e colaboração com instituições acadêmicas, líderes da indústria e formuladores de políticas, o Centro visa enfrentar alguns dos desafios mais prementes do setor, promovendo o compartilhamento de conhecimento por meio de pesquisas extensas em seminários e eventos em todo o país. Inovação e colaboração. Por meio de pesquisas direcionadas, eventos e insights orientados a dados, o centro busca moldar o futuro do ambiente construído, com foco em cinco áreas principais: excelência em design, materiais avançados, metodologias inovadoras, tecnologias emergentes e sustentabilidade. Isso fornecerá ao setor público e privado acesso livre a métricas consistentes e transparentes para avaliar o impacto social de seus projetos de construção. As the industry faces significant pressures, including labour shortages, an ageing workforce, economic uncertainties, and environmental challenges, CCBP is focused on creating a platform that drives innovation and collaboration. Through targeted research, events and data-driven insights, the Centre seeks to shape the future of the built environment, with a focus on five key areas: design excellence, advanced materials, innovative methodologies, emerging technologies, and sustainability.
CCBP is exploring their inaugural research project with the University of Cambridge, which will focus on developing a standardised set of Social Value measures for the construction sector. This will provide the public and private sector with free access to consistent and transparent metrics to evaluate the social impact of their construction projects. By creating a unified approach to social value, the project aims to empower stakeholders across the industry to make more informed decisions and generate strong social impact.

This high-profile event will bring together leading experts, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss the pressing issues facing the NHS estate today.
