Guest speaker Robert Sheffrin will cover a host of different funding sources, including venture capital and business angel funding, with helpful tips to make sure you know what investors look for and how to get a positive response.
Robert Sheffrin, an investment director with UCLan Ventures, has 30 years venture capital and business angel investment experience. Robert is a former director of the UK Business Angels Association and a past president of the Manchester Society of Chartered Accountants. During his career, he has assisted hundreds of SMEs as an investor or advisor. Previous roles include venture capital fund manager for Enterprise Ventures, before establishing an international venture capital consultancy, whose clients included the World Bank Group and International Finance Corporation. As a founder and management team member, he participated in two company flotations, the second of which, Imperial Energy, grew from start-up to FTSE 250 in four years.
