Gro-Organic tem comemorado a abertura formal de um jardim comunitário em Three Trees Community Garden, em Chelmsley Wood, que foi patrocinado pela CSCM IT Solutions. O jardim foi desenvolvido por voluntários que transformam o espaço de jardim local não utilizado para oferecer oportunidades a pessoas de todas as idades e habilidades para melhorar sua saúde mental e bem-estar físico. Grinsell e a deputada Caroline Spellman participaram do evento. Um momento maravilhoso foi tido por todos, desfrutando de croissants e fazendo pizzas de café da manhã no recém -construído forno de terra. Além de permitir que as pessoas se mantenham ativas e em forma, o jardim tornou-se um lugar para socialização e aprender novas habilidades em jardinagem, cultivo de alimentos e cozinhar ao ar livre. Gro- Organics’ service users and volunteers hosted a garden open party to thank Jude Thompson, CEO of CSCM and to celebrate the wonderful work which has taken place over the last year and were honoured that the Deputy Mayor, XX NAME Councillor Karen Grinsell and MP Caroline Spellman attended the event. A wonderful time was had by all, enjoying croissants and making breakfast pizzas on the newly built earth oven.
The garden has been a tonic for local residents and it is no surprise that the garden is locally known as “The good mood garden”. As well as enabling people to keep active and fit, the garden has become a place for socialisation and learning new skills in gardening, food growing and outdoor cooking.
