The event, entitled “Exclusive Dinner with Liverpool City Council’s chief executive”, was an invite-only dinner with Liverpool City Council’s Chief Executive, Tony Reeves. Situado no cenário deslumbrante do belo restaurante Chaophraya Thai, representantes de negócios de Liverpool e além, reunidos para o evento informativo. Para melhorar e promover a posição comercial e econômica do Liverpool. Ele também discutiu os desafios e dificuldades que a autoridade local do Liverpool enfrenta, como a perda de jovens empreendedores brilhantes e a próxima geração de líderes empresariais para Londres e outras cidades focadas nos negócios no sul e o que poderia ser feito para mudar isso. Os participantes tiveram a chance de fazer quaisquer perguntas que possam ter por Tony e expressar quaisquer preocupações ou crenças pessoais para que ele considere e talvez levar adiante em seu papel como conselheiro. The night began with a meal and a chance for the attendees to Network and speak to other Business leaders and get a sense of any useful connections that could be made, followed by a question and answer session with Tony in which he answered questions about his role on the council and his thoughts on what can be done to improve and promote Liverpool’s business and economic position.
In a fascinating speech to attendees of the event, Tony reflected on his early months in his new job, the exciting opportunities, connections and experiences it has given him. He also discussed the challenges and difficulties the Liverpool local authority faces such as losing bright young entrepreneurs and the next generation of business leaders to London and other business-focused cities in the South and what could be done to change this.
He also focused on his ambitions for the city’s business and economic growth agenda explaining how “We make these young people aware of what we can offer and what’s on their doorstep”. The attendees were then given a chance to ask any questions they might have for Tony and voice any personal concerns or beliefs for him to consider and perhaps take forward in his role as a councillor.
The night was a great success thanks to the tremendous service and hospitality of the staff at Chaophraya.
