The Welding Institute Honours for Themis Apprentices and Engineering Students at Burnley College

In partnership with leading employer Graham Engineering, Nelson, the annual TWI Awards took place at Burnley’s Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort, where more than 300 people, enjoyed an evening of ceremony and celebration.

The six ambitious Themis at Burnley College Apprentices who won awards are:

  • Georgina Cross (21), from Bacup, who is employed at Paradigm Precision, Burnley, and currently working towards a HNC in Mechanical Production
  • Ella Winterbottom (19), from Clitheroe, who is employed at Paradigm Precision, Burnley, and currently working towards a HNC in Mechanical Production
  • Alex Bolt (19), from Burnley, who is employed at Emerson and Renwick Ltd, Church, and is a Level 3 Apprentice Engineering Machinist
  • Luke Harris (19), from Barrow, who is employed at Emerson and Renwick Ltd, Church, and is a Level 3 Apprentice Engineering Machinist
  • Jon Mattocks (21), from Cliviger, who is employed at CED Fabrications Ltd, Accrington, and is a Level 3 Apprentice in Fabrication and Welding
  • Bradley Parfitt (23), from Brierfield, who is employed at Castle Sheet Metal, Sabden, and is a Level 3 Apprentice in Fabrication and Welding.

And Os dois estudantes motivados em cursos vocacionais avançados em fabricação e soldagem são:

  • Cerys Ormerod (20), de Burnley, um ex -aluno do Unity College

Dave Holmes, Manufacturing Director at BAE Systems and President of TWI, who started his career as an Apprentice, attended the prestigious event, handing out the awards alongside other representatives from TWI.
