Posição do Secretário do Interior. ”
Speaking after new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s cabinet reshuffle, Mr McKenna said:
“Gillian Keegan’s appointment has gone a little unnoticed, given the controversy over Suella Braverman’s reappointment to the Home Secretary position. However, given the scale of the challenges within the education sector- and the consistent issue we have had with skills and talent shortages within the UK- this post is crucially important.
“Gillian Keegan is someone who started her career as an apprentice, and who understands the needs of business. Reform and modernisation of the education and skills agenda is crucial, and I believe the new minister will bring forward new and innovative ideas to shake up the outdated system that has, at least in part, led to skills shortages, low wages, and low productivity. I look forward to seeing what plans she has for the future of education.”
